SHREE MANUKULA CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL TRUST believes that self help groups are the most effective units in community towards formation and capacity building of resource-poor/vulnerable household in gadag district. Gadag district is a highly drought prone area and the majority of the community is dependent on rain-fed agriculture. Due to the lack of alternatives employment opportunities and due to lack of alternatives skills, the majority of the community is forced to distress migration to distant cities like Bangalore.
